The star has given the entirety of his £25,000 award prize money to the trust for venues, which works to protect the United Kingdom's independent music venues.
Fender was given the cheque on 16 October as his latest record his work was declared the top album of the last 12 months.
Fender has opted to donate the funds to the trust, in appreciation of the essential function grassroots venues had in his initial steps.
"As an artist wouldn't be doing this success if it wasn't for all the shows I performed around the region, and elsewhere, when I was beginning," remarked Fender. "These locations are renowned, but they are in difficulty."
Since the start of 2023, over 150 of these venues have permanently closed – about 16% of the total UK scene.
Over the past year, major artists including Pulp, the group Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to support the industry, by including a small levy to their ticket costs, which benefits independent venues.
Sam Fender also joined in, collecting more than £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to support numerous grassroots venues across Britain.
These funds assisted locations that were facing imminent closure due to issues arising from floods, blazes and bereavements, as well as permit problems, legal disputes and neighbor objections.
Additional spaces obtained financial assistance in upgrading amenities and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and audiences.
"The idea that revenue from performances in major spaces supports the independent spots, where it begins for performers like me, is just logical," the star has stated.
The musician is far from the only musician to contribute his honor funds to good deeds.
In they received the award in the mid-90s for their release their work, frontman Cocker announced that the band would contribute their prize money to the non-profit War Child.
During 2002, musician she divided her award across several good causes, like the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell charity.
"And I gave a thousand pounds to my local community centre, to their gymnastics class, because I trained in gymnastics when I was growing up and they lacked new equipment," Ms Dynamite told the media.
Previously, Ezra Collective gave their funds to the youth organization that nurtured their act, in addition to other independent music bodies.
And 1994 winners M People contributed their winnings to a MS organization after a close contact was identified with the disease.
"Receiving the award was sufficient," stated vocalist Heather Small. "The cash was the bonus but we didn't need the bonus, because we had the main prize. So our victory affected another person's life."
Recently, the trust announced it had saved a couple of local spots in that region, by bringing them into public stewardship.
The Joiners in the city and The Croft in the city were bought under the public acquisition initiative, which is funded by Arts Council England and music fans who buy "ownership units" in the buildings.
